All products of a brand recalled due to listeria risk: the affected batches

The Ministry of Healthin its function of monitoring products that put health at risk, has recalled all products of a brand. This is about the brand Alba sandwiches spa.

The manufacturer and the establishment identification mark is Alba Sandwiches spawhile the commercial name of the product is multiple: from the 7-piece cooked ciabatta, to the spicy salami and tarallini of 20 pieces, but also the cooked ham sandwiches, salami pangrill and many others.

The factory is in via Ettore Maiorana 2, in Faggiano (TA). To better identify the products under recall, you can check the accused lot. There are multiple and the article codes are not consecutive. The ministry note indicates all lots from L160 to L180.

The brand under control, the ministry’s maxi recall, has a yellow-orange color. The Alba writing is white, with the lowercase letter “alba”.

As we have already seen for a salami withdrawn from supermarkets, it is the presence of Listeria to have triggered concern about the health risk of consumers. The recall, scheduled for July 5, 2024 regarding products with an expiration date of 12/10-2024 (product with a more distant expiration date), has a warning.

The note reads: “Possible presence of Listeria Mococytogenes due to contamination from environments and work surfaces”. The warning is not to consume the products.

What are the risks of taking listeria?
