With the arrival of cold weather and greater energy consumption, comes concern about the effects of the energy crisis on bills. Enel confirms its support for families and businesses with a 50% discount compared to the current price of electricity. It does so with the fixed price offer “Enel Digital Luce”. An offer that goes alongside the government’s proposals, which in Europe aims at anti-revenue interventions.
A parachute that is currently affected above all by companies in the sector and by customers’ choice of the most convenient or protected offer. In fact, over 50% of families have chosen the free market with fixed price contracts. Enel customers have chosen this path in 85% of cases. Hence the confirmation of the fixed price offer.
Dear energy: the moves on the fixed price
ARERA, the regulatory authority for energy, networks and the environment, has estimated a fourth quarter of increases, with a jump of 37.3% in the electricity bill for vulnerable customers with greater protection.
The government launched an appeal to energy operators, who consequently began to offer discounts and tariffs of various kinds, from Eni to Enel, up to the smaller operators.
At the moment, with the current geopolitical framework, it is difficult to imagine a reduction in prices. In our country, gas continues to play a decisive role and international tensions have a strong impact on its price. Due to this instability, consumers are seeking certainty in spending and therefore moving towards fixed-price solutions.
Companies are intervening on those items of the bill where they can have a hand, while the rest of the final bill includes transport costs, network management, system charges and taxes.
Enel renews its Digital Luce offer
In an official press release from Enel, the company confirms the Enel Digital Luce fixed price offer. This is a three-year solution which provides for a price of the energy component of 108 euros per megawatt hour, equal to approximately 50% of the current market value of wholesale electricity (currently above 230 euros per megawatt hour).
The announcement states that it is the lowest price for the energy component found on the market of large operators and is also a lower rate than that offered in the greater protection service for vulnerable consumers.
Who can get the offer?
This is an offer compatible with a fundamental requirement: being a new customer. It is aimed both at those looking for an alternative to the greater protection tariff and at those who have a contract with another operator in which the energy component is at higher prices.
The offer is intended for new customers and in “Digital” mode. This means that it can only be subscribed on the Enel website.
Who is it suitable for?
The Enel Digital Luce offer is not designed for everyone, but to meet the needs of families. Also from the Enel press release we learn that it is designed for average families whose annual consumption does not exceed 2.1 megawatt hours.
Attention: the price of 0.108 euros per kilowatt hour for the energy component is applied up to a maximum monthly consumption of 175 kWh, beyond which 0.175 euros apply for each additional kilowatt hour.
With this solution you can save up to 200 euros compared to the current wholesale price.
