The Council of Ministers approved a bill connected to the next Maneuver economic. The text includes an allocation of one billion euros for the agricultural system, which adds up to the eleven already foreseen in the next budget law.

“With the provision we called ‘ColtivaItalia’, we invest a billion euros in the agricultural sector to support strategic national productions and thus decrease our dependence on abroad,” said the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
“We continue to defend, also and above all in Europe, the requests of our farmers and our producers,” added the Premier.

“In 2024 Italy has become the first nation of the European Union with the highest agricultural added value, with over 42.4 billion euros”.
What does the agriculture bill includes
The bill provides for the allocation of resources in three main directions: 900 million will be divided into three segments, each with a budget of 300 million:
- The first concerns the protection of strategic agricultural productions;
- the second the rebirth of national olive growing;
- The third aims to strengthen Italian zootechnics.

Support for young people and response to emergencies
