Starting from February 15 in Lombardy it will no longer be possible to receive the Notifications of medical recipes upload on your health file via email or sms. This is less than not explicitly give consent to this function. Many other regions are also implementing solutions similar to those of Lombardy for the functioning of their health file and therefore this problem could soon present itself for millions of Italians.
There are several ways to give your consent to receive notifications. The most immediate is to go to your health file and follow a simple procedure. However, it is also possible to do it at ASST or in the pharmacy.
No notifications for recipes from February 15th
For several years many Italian citizens have been used to receiving the electronic recipe number (Nre) of a medicine prescribed by your doctor, directly in the Mail or SMS box. From February 15, however, it will no longer be like this for Lombard citizens. This function of the regional electronic health file will disappear unless an explicit consent is given to its use by regional IT systems.
This change concerns:
- Electronic recipes for drugs;
- specialist visits;
- Other health services.
Instead, in any way the “red” and “white” recipes handwritten by your doctor. If you do not intend to activate the notification system, it is still possible to obtain the NRE through access to the electronic health file. Alternatively, you can go to your doctor to have a paper copy of the number of recipe.
How to give consent for notifications
If, on the other hand, you want to maintain the possibility of receiving notifications of electronic recipes by email or SMS, there are three alternatives to give your consent. The first is to do it through the Electronic healthcare file. You must first access through a digital identity system (SPID or CIE) and select the icon of your profile, at the top right. From here you have to click on the “notifications” item and then on that “recipes”, and then activate the reception of notifications via email, sms or both.
With this method you have access to the various Preferences for notifications themselves, choosing whether to activate them only for recipes or even for documents, reports, delegations, updates on health care and screening. However, this page will always remain available and the Lombard citizens will be able to change the preferences chosen at any time.
For those who prefer to give their own consent of personthere are two options. The first is to go to the doors of one’s own Territorial socio-health company (ASST), asking for the modules for consent. The second is to go to pharmacy. In fact, pharmacists can also activate notifications of the electronic health file. Once your consent is given you can return to receive notifications.
