On April 22nd they were almost 50 confectionery products were recalled en masse. The maxi retreat was necessary due to the serious risk of presence of metal splinters in products. It was the same company that made the request for withdrawal to Ministry of HealthAnd. Here are all the products to check, not ingest and return, where necessary and requested, to the point of sale where they were purchased.
Sweets recall: batches at risk to be checked
The first products to be checked for risk of contamination by metallic foreign bodies, for which sale is expected to be blocked, are:
- almond hearts (200g) of the brand Fantinato Lineadolce of Sorrini Dolciaria Srl, with factory headquarters in Via Vomano 48 – Basciano (TE). Production lot 240314 with expiration 10/09/2024;
- pistachio amaretti biscuits (200g) from the Fratelli Fiori brand Fimardolci Srl, with headquarters in Strada San Carlo ZI Mazzocchio 1182 – Pontinia (LT). Production lot F0226 expiring 12/22/2024;
- kiss god lady (200 gr) of the brand Fimardolci Srl, with headquarters in Strada San Carlo ZI Mazzocchio 1182 – Pontinia (LT). Production lots A0311, T0311, A0311 with expiration 06/03/2025.
Collection of black cherry morsels: the lots to check
There were also numerous retreats black cherry morsels. The lots to check are:
- black cherry morsels (200 g) of the Fimardolci Srl brand, with headquarters in Strada San Carlo ZI Mazzocchio 1182 – Pontinia (LT). Production lots A0304 with expiry 29/12/2024 and A0318 with expiry 12/01/2025.
Sold under another brand, but belonging to the same factory location, we find the lots:
- brand name Hersun with production lot H0408 (sold in Germany);
- brand name Jadore with production lot J0226 (sold in Canada);
- Soprano brand with production lot M0401 (sold in Great Britain);
- brand name Treo with production lot M0325 (sold in France).
Collecting grandfather's treats: the lots to check
The ministry's note (you can download the app) identified the same factory and the same manufacturer also for brands sold abroad. Involving “grandfather's morsels”, for which you need to pay attention to the production batches. The following are withdrawn due to risk of contamination by foreign bodies:
- brand name Fimardolci with production lot A0325 and A0226 expiring 12/22/2024 (sold in Italy);
- brand name Jadore with production lot J0226 (sold in Canada);
- brand name Treo with production lot M0325 (sold in France).
Other mixed flavor morsels have been recalled, including fig (lot A0408), strawberry (lot A0408) and lemon (lots A0318 and B0318) morsels. Foreign bodies are also present for foreign retailers such as Hersun And Soprano in lemon flavours.
Fimardolci recalls for metal bodies: product mix to pay attention to
They are not finished yet risky products. Below is a mix of products recalled due to the same risk from foreign metal bodies. The reminders:
- almond bells – lot A0212;
- coconut – lot H0408 (brand Hersun for Germany);
- coconut glass cocoa – lot H0408 (brand Hersun for Germany);
- almond colombines – lot A0205;
- croissants – lot A0325;
- croissants – lot H0408 (brand Hersun for Germany);
- assorted almond desserts – lot A0311;
- assorted almonds – lot J0226 (brand Jadore for Canda);
- petit fleur – lot A0311 and A0318;
- petit fleur – lot T0219 (brand Trevisan);
- pinches – lot A0325;
- ricciarelli – lot A0325;
- ricciarelli – lot A0408 (brand Hersun for Germany).
Finally, the brand's distinctive products come from the same factory Naturalia (not to be confused with recalled organic products) for sale in the Netherlands. The lots not to be purchased and consumed are:
