The Ministry of Health Italian has arranged a new recall from the market which involves a food widely used in Italian families which it is best to pay attention to avoid running into possible risks resulting from its assumption. The product in question is a PGI mortadella without pistachio which is sold in supermarkets with the brand Journey into taste.
The ministerial decision is based on physical risk found in the food resulting from the presence of blue plastic fragments. To recognize the recalled product, citizens can follow various instructions provided by the department, such as lotthe expiry date and the mortadella production plant.
PGI mortadella recall without pistachio
There PGI mortadella without pistachio recalled by the Ministry of Health it is sold to the public in packs of 120 grams with the brand Journey into taste and marketed under the name Trebon Srl.
In order to allow citizens to recognize the product, the Ministry of Health provided, in the recall notice of 25 November 2024 present in the specific section of the institutional website, all the details necessary for identification. First, consumers can check the lot which, in this case, corresponds to the serial number L054431807. Regarding the expiry date or Tmc (Minimum shelf life), the recalled mortadella has the date on the packagingDecember 28, 2024.
The mortadella production plant
To recognize the recalled PGI mortadella without pistachio it is very useful to also know the manufacturing plant. The product was made by Salumificio Fratelli Beretta Spa at the plant located in via Fratelli Bandiera, 12 20056 Trezzo sull’Adda (MI). The identification mark of the establishment/manufacturer corresponds to IT 1550 L.
The risks and what those who bought the product should do
All those who, following an inspection, realize that they have purchased the PGI mortadella without pistachios recalled by the Ministry of Health must, first of all, avoid eating it so as not to run into risks connected. According to the department, in fact, in this case the danger is of a physical nature given by the possible presence of fragments of blue plastic inside the food. The advice is therefore to avoid consuming the mortadella and return it to the shop where it was purchased.

Since this is a product recalled by the ministry to safeguard the health of citizens, consumers who have purchased PGI mortadella without pistachios have the right to obtain the compensation of the sums spent for the same.
