From furniture to objects for the home, to sport, from children’s products to DIY, passing through gardening, Altroconsumo has drawn up the ranking of Favorite chains by Italians. All on the basis of 11 categories. The rankings of the independent organization for consumer rights are the result of an investigation conducted on beyond 8 thousand customers throughout the country.
From the survey on the satisfaction of the buyers of the best retail companies in Italy, they are 13 the brands who obtained the title of “Favorite teacher by consumers“Of the Association.
The survey among consumers
Altroconsumo carried out the investigation in November 2024, based on the preferences of 8,676 customers, taking into consideration several factorswhich should make an inviting store beyond the type of products offered:
- quality of products;
- competitive prices;
- shop comfort;
- professionalism by the staff;
- presentation of the goods;
- discounts and promotions;
- ease of return;
- service to the speakers;
- Extra services;
- Parking.
Finally, the judgment on global satisfaction is added. Consumers were asked to express their vote, from 1 (bad) to 10 (excellent). Everyone was collected and elaborated, to obtain a Index on base 100 By virtue of which the rankings were made.
The interviewees were able to evaluate up to three different physical retail sales chains per category in which they have purchased in the last 12 months. The degree of satisfaction was then collected of each customer for the various elements, including, the most important, the quality of the products and prices.
The ranking of favorite chains in Italy
The survey emerged, the ranking of Altroconsumo for each of the categories, which made it possible to draw up the list of first brands in each category with at least 80 out of 100 points in “global satisfaction”. Net the fact that they do not have a vote too far from the highest score and that they are present in at least 5 regions.

Outside the list of other signs of the appliance and electronics categories, pet products and perfumery and cosmetic products, which while not receiving the recognition of Altroconsumo, still obtained a good score.
At the top of the ranking for “general satisfaction” it was placed Ikea With a score of 84, with Città del Sole of the silver medal with 83 points and three cohabitation signs on the lowest step of the podium.
