EXPORT in the South collapses in 2024, the ranking of the regions that export most

The data Istat on exports of the regions of the fourth quarter of 2024 complete the picture of all last year, returning a substantially static situation compared to 2023. Italian exports in 2024

2024 was a complicated year for the Italian industry. The drop in production is reflected in the flexion of exports, which has characterized the whole country. However, some sectors have suffered more than others. The collapse of southern exports and islands

2023 had been a year of great growth for the South and for the Islands. Thanks above all to the investments of the PNRR, the GDP of these regions had grown more than that of the rest of the country, but this situation quickly returned. Exports reflected this change: after the growth had reached a peak at the end of 2023, during 2024 it was re -additional to the data of the rest of Italy.

However, the result was an annual collapse of 5.3% for the South and 5.2% for the islands. It is distinguished in particular in particular the Basilicatawho lost 42% of the value of their exports in a year. The best was instead Calabria, with a +9.4%.

The North holds up, the center grows
