Ground cumin recalled due to chemical risk, the batches and what to do

The Italian Ministry of Health has issued the recall of a spice due to the found chemical risk linked to its consumption. Going into more detail, from the ministry’s notice dated 27 December 2024, we learn that the spice is a cumin ground which is sold in stores under the brand Al Arabia. Inside the ministry indicates the presence of alkaloids pyrrolizidines beyond the limits permitted by law.
