The increases on postal services start. From March 31, sending a letter or registered letter to Italy and abroad will cost more. Poste Italiane lets him know, giving communication of the revision of rateswith the list of new rise on correspondence and shipping prices.
No increase on stamps recently issued: those who have escorted them can refer to the same tariff indication, which will not affect the cost of the service.
The increases on postal servants
The new rates, set by Post Office with resolution 51/25/Cons of 14 March 2025, will bring increases of a few cents on all correspondence and shipping services.
Starting from March 31, the Shipping of a letter or a postcard in Italy (up to 20 grams) will go from a cost of 1.25 to 1.30 euros. A registered letter will increase from 5.80 to 6 euroswhile the price of an international registered letter will grow from 7.35 to 7.65 euros and the national online sending will rise from 4.02 to 4.30 euros.
Also raises on packages sent to Italy and abroad: shipments through “National Ordinary Pacco” service, from 0 to 3 kg for standard formats, will increase from 9.90 to 10.30 euros, with “international ordinary package” service, up to 1 kg, from 24.80 to 25.80 euros (from 23.80 to 24.75 euros in case of pre-acceptance via the web).
The shipping numbers
These are minimal increases, but intended to affect the accounts of users and activities that make a regular and conspicuous use of postal services.
According to the preliminary numbers presented by Poste on the last year, in 2024 they were beyond 308 million packages delivered to families and businesses, marking a +20.4% compared to 2023.
The new rates
Below is the list of increases on some of the new rates communicated by Poste Italiane, in force since March 31st:
- Mail 1 (retail) up to 100 gr, small and medium -sized format: from 2.90 to 3.00 euros;
- Post 1 Pro up to 100 gr, of small and medium -sized format and National Posta1online: from 2.28 euros to 2.44 euros;
- Mail 4 (retail) up to 20 gr of small standard format: from 1.25 euros to 1.30 euros;
- Post 4 Pro up to 20 gr of small standard format and National Posta4online: 1.03 euros for 1.10 euros;
- National retail reception notice: from 1.00 euros to 1.05 euros. The increase will affect the services (and related offers): registered mail for Italy, registered mailbox and, where shipped at the post office, insured post for Italy, post -standard Delivery, folds of books with the right of recommendation;
- National Business Reception Notice: from 0.80 euros to 0.85 euros. The increase will affect the registered and registered letter with return receipt services, Smart insured, Smart insured at special rate, folds of business books, post -standard Delivery;
- Notice of international reception: from 1.30 euros to 1.35 euros. The increase will affect the international recommended services, Insured International, M-Bags Economy with the right of recommendation, recommended for foreign online;
- Registered mail (retail) up to 20 gr: from 5.80 euros to 6.00 euros, also by registered mail and to the mailbox by you (retail);
- Registered mail Pro to 20 gr: from 4.02 euros to 4.30 euros also at the tariffs of delivery of National Online Online.
- Smart registered mail up to 20 gr, intended for metropolitan areas (AM): from 2.63 euros to 2.81 euros;
- Rates of the judicial act, including the flat rate of Can and CAD: from 11.60 euros to 12.40 euros, up to 20 gr at the post offices, while for the sending accepted at the business centers (also with the Bolgetta option), including those of integrated notification services, from 11.17 euros to 11.95 euros;
- Standard Delivery post (“National Ordinary Pacco”) from 0 to 3 kg of standard format: from 9.90 euros to 10.30 euros;
- Poste Delivery International Standard (“International ordinary package”) for all destination countries, up to 1 kg: from 24.80 euros to 25.80 euros.
