Poste Italiane users encountered malfunctions in the use of the app and website during the morning of today 1 December, precisely on the day of payment of pensions: as reported by the portal Down detector, Reports of problems and failures peaked around 09:39, with a total of 1,055 outages reported. Specifically, 86% of users encountered problems accessing the app, while 13% couldn’t even access the website.
At 12.15pm Poste Italiane confirmed that all digital services had resumed working regularly, although the causes of this disruption were not specified. During the malfunction, the Poste Italiane app displayed the following screen:
In terms of geographical distribution, the reports came from all over Italy, although in greater numbers in large cities such as Turin, Milan, Verona, Bologna, Florence, Perugia, Rome, Naples, Palermo and Catania.

The last downturn that hit the Poste Italiane app dates back to the end of October, when problems with the Azure infrastructure were recorded.
