Consumers ask for government intervention
Although the conflict between Israel and Iran has just begun, the consequences on petrol are already under everyone’s eyes. For this, consumer associations ask the government to block any any speculation. The sudden increase in petrol and diesel prices in Italy, explains the Codacons,
It is completely unacceptable and must lead the government to intervene urgently to block any form of speculation to the detriment of motorists. The increases in the pump confirm the anomalies existing in Italy in the fuel sector, with the lists to the public that immediately increase to the oil ascent, despite the petrol and diesel sold today to motorists were purchased months ago by the oil brands, when the raw prices was well lower than those today.
Solos Alfine asks for the intervention of Mister Prices for any irregularities in the formation of retail prices after the rise followed at the beginning of the war between Israel and Iran. Says President Gabriele Melluso:
Petrol and diesel, after weeks of price descent, today record a strong rise as a consequence of the trend of oil on the markets. An increase that takes place in the worst period of the year, that is, when millions of Italians are preparing to leave by car to reach the holiday resorts, and which risks determining a room for families’s pockets.
