Stellantis, Filosa chooses the Italian chaplain, apples and Genoese managers

Antonio Filosa has assumed his role as Chief Executive Officer of Stellantis. On the first day he announced the new leadership team, which will be formed, to use the words chosen by Filosa itself, by figures that “embody the profound competence in the sector”.

Among the appointments, internal to Stellantis teams around the world, three are Italian. They are Emanuele Cappellano, Davide Mele and Monica Genovese. In addition to Leadership Team (SLT), Filosa also appointed the four managers who will report directly to the CEO and, also in this case, there is an Italian: Giorgio Fossati in the role of General Counsel.

On his first day as Chief Executive Officer, Antonio Filosa announced his brand new leadership Team (SLT). In the official press release, the reasons for the choice are read, based for philosa on the “unique characteristics that reside in our extraordinary people”.

In fact, these appointments are not a direct continuation, but rather show the effects of the organizational changes already announced last February.

THE Names of the SLTamong which the three Italians stand out, are:

  • Antonio Filosa (CEO) who maintains his role as manager for North America and American Brands;
  • Doug Ostermnn (CFO), who assumes the responsibility of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures;
  • Jean-Philippe Imparato continues to play the role of manager for the enlarged Europe and European Brands, which Maserati will now also be part of;
  • Emanuele Cappellano becomes part of the SLT in his role as manager for South America and assumes the responsibility of Stellantis Pro One, the business unit of commercial vehicles;
  • Philippe de Rovira has been commissioned to lead the rest of the world and maintains responsibility for Stellantis Financial Services;
  • Davide Mele joins the SLT to direct the Product Planning area;
  • Ned Curic continues driving the Product Development & Technology area;
  • Sébastien Jacquet, appointed at the beginning of the month responsible for the Quality area, joins the SLT;
  • Monica Genovese is appointed manager of the Purchasing area;
  • Scott Thiele assumes the guidance of the new role responsible for the Supply Chain area and joins the SLT, bringing together the activities previously carried out in the planning and manufacturing areas;
  • Arnaud Deboeuf continues to lead the manufacturing area;
  • Xavier Chéreau continues to direct the Human Resources and Sustainability area;
  • Clara Ingen-Housz joins the SLT as head of the Affairs & Communications corporate area.

Who is Emanuele Cappellano

Emanuele chaplainVenetian origins and a solid background in business economics, with a specialization in finance, studied at the University of Venice and continued its training with a master’s degree in Accounting and Corporate Finance at the University of Turin.

His path begins in 2002 in Fiat Chrysler Automobileswhere he held key roles in the financial sector, from industrial management to investments. In 2014 he landed in South America and became CFO of the Region, before taking on the guide of financial services.

Cappellano lived two historical moments of the automotive: the fusion between Fiat and Chrysler in Europe and then the one between FCA and PSA, which gave birth to Stellantis. After a parenthesis in the Eyewear sector such as CEO North America and strategic director of the Marcolin group, he returned to Stellantis in 2023 to lead the South America area. Today it is also at the head of Stellantis Pro One, the division of the group’s commercial vehicles.

Who is Davide Mele

Graduated in Management Engineering and Industrial Management at the Polytechnic of Turin, Davide Mele He entered the Fiat group in 2001 as a senior auditor and built his career going from financial roles to increasingly central assignments.

He worked between Europe, North America and Latin America, contributing to the growth of the FCA group first and of Stellantis then. He managed the launch of the Jeep brand in Latam, followed the business development in Emea and faced the challenge of electrification.

After guiding the Global Parts & Services division, in 2025 he was appointed Head of Stellantis’ Product Planning, with the mission to guide the future of the group’s product offer.

Who is Monica Genovese

A technical training, with a master’s degree in electronic engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, traced the basics of the career of Monica Genovesetoday at the helm of purchases in Stellantis. Entering the Fiat group in 1995, he started his path in the manufacturing area, and then landed, starting from 1999, to the purchasing sector.

Since 2006 he worked in the Parts & Services division, becoming two years later director of the Supply Chain for spare parts with responsibility on Europe, South America and Asia. In 2011 he expanded the perimeter of action, also becoming responsible for purchases for the EMEA area, a position that maintained and strengthened in 2015 as Head of Purchasing for the entire region.

With the birth of Stellantis, he took on the guide of global purchases for direct materials linked to strategic product groups such as PowerTrain and Chassis. From today he will be responsible for the entire Purchasing area of ​​the group and is part of the global leadership team.
