Giorgia Meloni must admit that without migrants the Italian economy would not work. To say it is the Meloni government itself, through a passage in the technical report to the decree flow of the Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano. The reasons seem to be two: there are no enough workers in the sectors that use the shares of migrants every year; There is no replacement of the workforce.
For once, the other side of the country is not the one that declares the importance of migrant citizens (also temporary and seasonal as in the case of the flow decree), but the majority itself.
The economy is also good thanks to migrants
The report signed on August 1 by Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano defines the strategic importance of the replacement of the workforce in our country in the face of a drop in new workers. The flow decree, for the entry of 497 thousand regular migrants in the three-year period 2026-2028, is accompanied by the technical report.
This presence, in addition to the numbers of the new necessary entrances, sector by sector and region by region, also indicates what the positive contribution of migrants to the Italian economy is. The positive dynamics on the side of the general trend of the economy and employment can be supported, on the horizon of the next three years, only with a migratory policy that allows the entry into Italy of labor indispensable to the national economic and productive system and difficult to find in our country.
