BTP Italia will have a total duration of 7 yearswhich will start starting from June 4th. The state will then return the money on June 4, 2032
The minimum rates of the BTPs and the final prize
BTP Italia rates will be linked to the trend of inflation in Italy. In the last six months the prices in our country have grown up to touch a 2% increase on an annual basis in March. These are not the highest data of the last few years, given the peaks of 2022 and 2023, but they are still significant compared to the very low ones of the period before the pandemic.
However, this does not mean that BTP Italia will be completely linked to inflation. In fact, they will have guaranteed minimum rates, which will be communicated on Monday 26 May. In the event that the saver that acquires the title of state should keep it until the expiry, without therefore selling it in the 7 years of validity, will also obtain a final prize equal to 1% of the amount invested.
How to buy BTP Italia
For savers, buying Italy will be simple. In fact, these government bonds will be available through the site of Home Banking of one’s bank. However, it will be necessary to enable the option for online trading. Once this operation has been completed, government bonds can be purchased directly from home.
