Generational change at the top of Balocco. The historic confectionery company of Fossano has renewed the Board of Directors, appointing the green line of the family at the helm of the company. A necessary revolution, due to the mourning in three years, who saw the son of the founder Francesco, Aldo first, and after the dramatic disappearance of the direct heirs. After the 61 -year -old death of Alessandra because of a disease, the new managing director will be the 28 -year -old granddaughter Diletta, daughter of the previous CEO Alberto, tragically killed by lightning.
The ex -Ads’s husband, Ruggero Costamagna, will be the president, while his son Marco, 26, will hold the role of head of the financial strategy.
The new Balocco Board of Directors
The company has announced with a press release the appointments of the new board of directors, where they will sit as administrative councilors Assunta Pinto and Gianfranco Bessone.
In the note Balocco stressed that the company will be guided in the wake of the continuity of the management of Alessandra Balocco, focusing its development on innovation and aiming for growth in Italy, as well as in the 70 countries where it is present, selling its specialties and promoting the confectionery tradition of Made in Italy on the international market.
As pointed out, in 2024 the turnover of the historic brand reached 257 million euros, with an export share of 13%.
The appointment of Diletta as ad
Already members of the Board of Directors, Diletta Balocco and Marco Costamagna, represent the fourth generation of the Balocco family, which holds 100% of the company’s shares.

Who was Alessandra Balocco
Diletta will take the place of the aunt just over a month after her death.
In the company already since the 90s, Alessandra Balocco was driving the company since 2022, received n inheritance after the death of his brother Alberto, managing in three years to carry on the history of the family, managing an industry from over 400 employees, with a turnover in 2023 of 254 million euros in 2023.
The 56 -year -old had succeeded his father Aldo, who died at 92 in July 2022, but had died prematurely a month later, on August 27, electrocuted in the mountains during a bicycle trip to Val di Susa.
