Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East they determined the sentiment of Mercator, especially in the second part of the week. The strong uncertainty on the geopolitical plane determined on the one hand an increase in the price of oil, jumped above 70 dollars per barrel both as regards the WTI and the Brent and grown by about 10% in the last week, on the other a push up for refuge assets, gold in the first place. The ingots have now touched the new maximum of the last two months, stabilizing the ounce on 3,400 dollars.
The macroeconomic picture
During the week, some indications on the state of health of the European industry arrived.
