The Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning and Sustainable Development (Cipess) approved the annual plan of the activities of the PMI Guarantee Fund for 2025, unlocking 40 billion euros to help small and medium -sized Italian enterprises access to credit. The decision was made during one Meeting at Palazzo Chigichaired by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, together with the Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Alessandro Morelli.
The PMI 2025 guarantee plan aims to give a push to the Italian economy, guaranteeing funding for over 40 billion euros thanks to a commitment of 2.3 billion euros For Loan by Loan and financing wallets.
40 billion for SMEs, green light from the Cipess
The Cipess gave the green light to the annual plan of the activities of the PMI Guarantee Fund for 2025, allocating 2.3 billion euros to guarantee funding for over 40 billion euros. The goal is to make access to credit for small and medium -sized Italian companies easier, helping them to invest in innovation, grow and overcome economic difficulties.
Among the news this year:
- 10% increase in the operations of reduced amount, to help especially micro-enterprises and start-ups to access funding;
- Starting for the risk of 9.3%, to ensure the sustainability of the fund and protect banks from the risks of insolvency.
The Undersecretary for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Alessandro Morelli, said: “With the approval of the plan for 2025, the government continues to confirm its commitment to support the SMEs, which represent the beating heart of the economy of our country”.
More credit for businesses: the objectives of the plan
The PMI 2025 Guarantee Plan focuses on:
- facilitate access to credit for Italian small and medium -sized enterprises;
- stimulate investments in innovation and digitization;
- support economic growth in a moment of global uncertainty.
According to the estimates of the Cipesswith the commitment of 2.3 billion euros, it will be possible to activate loans for over 40 billion euros, improving the liquidity of companies and supporting their development projects. Another novelty concerns the 10% increase in the operations of reduced amount, designed to also help micro-enterprises and start-ups to obtain funding, with an eye to youth entrepreneurship and technological innovation.
Other interventions approved by the Cipess
In addition to the PMI 2025 guarantee plan, the Cipess approved 15 million euros For compensations intended for the territories that host nuclear power plants and nuclear fuel cycle systems. The distribution provides:
- 50% to the municipalities of the plant;
- 25% to the Province;
- 25% to neighboring municipalities.
In addition, 10 million euros are planned for the integrated tourism project (PIT)-“The bridge between the parks” within the Restart program, intended for the Municipality of Tornimparte (AQ) and to other 8 municipalities of the homogeneous area 2. But also funds for the Restart 2 development program (2025-2027) for the area of the seismic crater of Abruzzo, with a total allocation of 110 million euros for local development projects and Tourist infrastructures. Finally, 8 additional interventions within the Restart 2 program, with a total amount of 27 million euros.
