Food waste in Italy, every citizen throws 372 euros of food per year

Italian people of saints, poets, navigators and waste. Italian food waste, the characteristics

The Italian food wastefor the aforementioned study, represents a bad practice that is perpetrated above all among the home walls. Italian families, in fact, affect three quarters of the overall value, 75%, while the remaining share is represented by:

  • trade and distribution, 8% equal to 1.7 billion;
  • catering, 6% equal to 1.3 billion;
  • primary production, 6% equal to 1.1 billion;
  • food industry, 5% equal to 965 million.

As for the food products That they are most wasted, the Study Center Disseminates a real ranking. At the top we find the vegetables33%, which together with the fruit20%, represents about half of the overall Italian food waste. And again:
