City deeper in Italy, Bolzano first and surprise for Florence: the ranking

Istat published the January inflation data, which have been used byNational Consumer Union To draw up the ranking of Italian cities with the most significant increase in the cost of living. The list includes not only the regional capitals and the municipalities with more than 150 thousand inhabitants, but all cities taken into consideration.

Increases in all cities

The inflation of February equal to +1.6% translates, for a couple with two children, in an increase in the cost of living in total equal to 578 euros on an annual basis, of which 219 euros that go only for food products and soft drinks.

At the top of the ranking there is Bolzanowith a tendential inflation of +2.6%, as Unc herself had affirmed with temporary data. Although it is not the highest in Italy (behind Syracuse, +2.8%, and Rimini, +2.7%), Bolzano records the greater additional annual expenditure, equal to 753 euros for an average family.

In second place we find Rimini A +2.7%, the highest of the regional capital cities or with more than 150 thousand inhabitants, with an increase in annual expenditure of 734 euros per family. On the podium too Sienawith an inflation of +2.6% and an additional expenditure of 663 euros per year for a type.

Lodi and Caserta among the least expensive

On the other side of the ranking, unfortunately, there is no longer any city in deflation. The most virtuous city in Italy is Praisewith an inflation of +0.8%, the lowest in the country, which involves an annual increase of 210 euros. In second place we find Caserta 1% and an increase in the cost of living of 214 euros. Bronze medal for Catanzarowith an inflation of 1.3% and an additional expenditure of 230 euros.

Followed in the ranking of the cheapest cities Aosta, Florence and Forlì-Cesena, all with an inflation of +0.9%, the second lower in Italy, with annual increases in the cost of life equal, respectively, at 234, 235 and 245 euros. In seventh place there is Bari ( +1.3%, +255 euros), followed by Sassari ( +1.3%, +262 euros) and Brindisi ( +1.4%, +266 euros). The Top Ten Trapani ( +1.3%, +279 euros) and Cremona ( +1%, +279 euros) close.

The increases in the regions

At the top of the ranking of the regions with the highest inflation, we find the Trentinoequal to +2.1%, which involves an average increase in the cost of living of 597 euros per family on an annual basis. In second place is the Friuli Venezia Giulia a +1.9% and an annual increase of 450 euros. Third parties, with similar values, we find the Veneto and theEmilia-Romagnawith an increase of +449 euros respectively and an inflation of +1.8% and +1.7%.

The region with the lowest figure is the Aosta Valley, with a +0.9% and an annual increase of 234 euros. Sardinia follow in second place and Molise in the third.
