The European stock exchanges they show themselves weak in the’opening of the first session of the week. Paris gives up 0.06% to 7,445 points, London shows no significant variations and drops 0.27% to 8,289 points and Frankfurt 0.05% to 18,312 points, remaining at the same levels as yesterday. Madrid breaks away and goes against the trend, rising by 0.2% to 10,972 points. The balance is positive for Business Squarewhich is taking a significant lead over the rest of the European markets. In the Old Continent, investors are choosing the path of caution. Milan shows an encouraging increase of 0.77% for the telecommunications sector. Telecom Italia advances, cashing in an increase of 1.01%. Japan’s Core Machinery Orders were announced, equal to 2.1%.
Piazza Affari positive with Telecom, Bper, Iveco and Stellantis
According to the official closing data of Borsa Italiana, the value of trades in the last session was equal to 2.5 billion euros, with an increase of 48.83%, compared to the previous 1.68 billion. The volumes traded went from 0.33 billion shares in the previous session to 0.47 billion. Of the 512 stocks traded on the Milan Stock Exchange, 130 ended the session in decline. The increases were instead 351. Finally, 31 shares remained unchanged.
The biggest increases in the stock market
Among the companies, Telecom Italia records the biggest increase of the day with a growth of +2.07. To complete the top five, we highlight Bper Bank which marks +1.66, Iveco Group at +1.63, Stellantis which despite a series of troubled vicissitudes shows an increase of +1.57% and Brunello Cucinelli at +1.17.
The Stellantis group, as is known, has been sued: US shareholders intend to sue for fraud. The multinational automotive company has been accused of manipulating information to artificially keep the share price high. CEO Carlos Tavares and CFO Natalie Knight are among the defendants. On the other side of the scale, however, two positive data for Stellantis act as a counterpoint: the agreement with the Italian government for the production of 1 million vehicles and the encouraging sales figures in Europe with growth in Italy, France and Portugal.
